Enhancing key elements of the value chains for plantation-grown wood in Lao People's Democratic Republic

International Research Project in the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR)

This research collaborative project, funded by Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), involves 15 partner organisations: 3 from Australia (UoM, ANU and DAF Qld) and 12 institutions from Laos ( universities, training college, government departments, plantation farmers groups and timber industry).

This research project is a good example of building capacity within communities engaged in smallholder tree growing, within government agencies at provincial and national levels, within research and education institutions, and within in the plantation wood processing sector.
