Australian School of Urban Forestry
Running for the first time in 2018, the Australian School of Urban Forestry is a six-day professional development course. This is the first program of its kind in Australia, and it offers an interactive learning experience delivered by leading urban forest practitioners and researchers. The event will be hosted by the University of Melbourne in partnership with the City of Melbourne. Both organisations are national leaders in urban forestry education, research, advocacy and practice. The interactive program will be delivered by leading urban forest practitioners and researchers, presenting best-practice approaches and case studies. It includes seminars, workshop exercises, team-based problem solving and field trips.
This event is suitable for all professionals in the urban greenspace industry, community advocacy, environmental health and policy management with a desire to develop their skills and knowledge in the multi-disciplinary field of urban forestry. Participants will gain practical knowledge and skills in urban forest policy, planning, management and community engagement.
